Euro 2012: Volunteer Army Assists Football Fans despite Negative Portrayal by Media

Euro 2012: Volunteer Army Assists Football Fans despite Negative Portrayal by MediaThousands of football fans are here in Kyiv right now for the Euro 2012 championships. For many, it's their first time visiting this former soviet country on the fringes of Europe and many have been pleasantly surprised that the negative press Ukraine received in the run up to the games. Today, we're talking to an army of volunteers that have taken it upon themselves to make sure visitors enjoy their stay and show the very best that Ukraine has to offer. Volunteering for the Euro is no small task. 2000 young Kyivites are giving 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for the entire tournament, all for free. So why are they doing it... when they could have a summer job? It seems that individual Ukrainians have collectively decided to show visitors, perhaps some skeptical at first about the country, just what true Ukrainian hospitality is all about.
